EPTA Council Meeting and Conference in Paris
On 23rd and 24th of September 2015 the EPTA Council meeting and conference take place in Paris.
The Office Parlementaire d´Evaluation des Choix Scientifiques et Technologiques (OPECST), which holds this year's presidency, invites the EPTA community to the French Parliament (Assemblée Nationale). Alongside EPTA associational business, on the first day of the meeting the participants will have a special workshop on the topic, how TA organisations can best detect trends. What are the signals to look at? What are the policy implications? In the evening the local embassy of next year's presidency (Austria) invites traditionally the participants to a reception. The second day is devoted to the annual conference. This year the topic is "innovation and Climate Change: the Role of Scientific and Technological Assessment". The conference has four sessions: Innovation for energy efficiency of bulidings; Innovation to feed humanity whilst reducing greenhouse gas emissions; Innovation for transportation and sustainable mobility; Citizens' involvment in the use of smart technologies.
At the occasion of this EPTA meeting, OPECST will celebrate its 30th anniversary. We congratulate!
