Development of renewable energy sources
Development of renewable energy sources is one of the priorities of EU energy and climate policies. According to EU regulations, share of renewable energy in Poland's balance of energy use should reach 15% by 2020 (more than twofold growth as compared to current level). However, the cost of renewable energy generation is still higher than in the case of fossil fuels. Thus various incentives and support mechanisms for stimulating renewable energy development should be applied.
