Many countries are introducing measures aimed at the digitisation of electoral processes, including voting procedures. An analysis of existing practices highlights the complexity of this issue, encompassing both the potential benefits and the associated risks. Particular attention should also be given to examining the reasons why attempts to implement electronic voting have, in some cases, been discontinued.
