Short-term rentals: new regulations
BAS (2025) INFOS 3(325), Short-term rentals: new regulations
The growing popularity of short-term rentals, along with the associated challenges for urban development, the quality of life of permanent residents, and the impact on the tourism services market, has prompted local, national, and European Union authorities to introduce regulatory measures. In the Member States of the European Union, Regulation (EU) 2024/1028 on the collection and sharing of data relating to short-term rental services of residential properties will enter into force on 20 May 2026. The Polish government is currently working on legislation to regulate selected aspects of short-term rental activities.
