The IT infrastructure, today and tomorrow

The Committee on Transport and Communication has initiated an analysis of the Swedish IT infrastructure. A main objective is to provide a description of the current situation when it comes to access to high-speed broadband and mobile network coverage in different parts of Sweden. Attention is also drawn to the robustness of the system. A second purpose is to map the measures taken by public authorities and private companies in order to provide high quality access to electronic communications. A third objective is to discuss the future of internet and whether the investments made today will be sufficient, as well as to analyse the consequences of a possibly inadequate infrastructure.
