This report is the result of a collaboration in which the members and associate members of the European Parliamentary Technology Assessment network (EPTA), have contributed with reports from their respective country or region. Each member institution has contributed a short summary on the national situation, in particular regarding four main topics: energy efficient buildings; transportation and mobility; feeding the world with minimal greenhouse gas emissions; citizens' involvement in the use of smart technologies.
