Entrepreneurship with a Social Mission

Print
The opportunities and success of entrepreneurs depend on various factors, such as knowledge, financial resources, and social networks. This also applies to sustainable entrepreneurship: entrepreneurs who contribute to a social mission, such as making the energy or food supply more sustainable. However, sustainable entrepreneurs often face additional challenges because, in addition to financial value, they also create social and ecological value in markets that are not yet geared towards this. Within the ESMEE project, the Rathenau Instituut is investigating what is required for successful sustainable entrepreneurship and the role of regional players in this process.
