State of innovation: Poland
Polish economy is lagging behind in innovativeness compared to most EU member states. Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany and Great Britain are the innovation leaders in Europe. The recent research by the European Commission indicates that Poland can reach the average level of innovativeness in EU-27 in about 20 years. Reaching that level and overcoming the barriers to innovativeness should now become a priority for Poland.
