Shared Healthcare Records (SHR) are a major pillar in the digitization of the healthcare sector. SHR typically contain the patient's medical reports, laboratory and imaging analyses, prescriptions and medication, vaccinations and hospitalization reports. Moreover, SHR often include information on dental care, medical bills and appointments, work incapacity certificates, ancillary therapies and other personalized care information. Digitalized healthcare systems (e-Health) and SHR are essential to achieving health priorities such as universal health coverage and the sustainable development goals. Modern and flexible e-Health promote the use of health data for scientific research, epidemiological surveillance, statistics, telemedicine and personalized medicine.
