Informal STEM education
Evidence suggests that most of what the general public know about science is picked up outside of formal schooling. Informal STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education is important in sparking curiosity, inspiring and engaging interest both through the school years and later on in life. This POSTnote will focus on the role of informal STEM education initiatives in supporting effective formal science education.
