The study will provide an overview of the current state of technology assessment in Europe. In particular it will focus on parliamentary technology assessment (PTA), as the main addressee are members of the Polish parliament. It aims at presenting a variety of aspects of the TA theory and practice: from theoretical background and methodologies, to institutional settings of PTA and practical experiences of influencing the public policy.
