The article looks at selected topics related to alcohol use and its impact on health and healthcare system in Poland. The author applies statistical data to discuss issues such as: alcohol consumption, accessibility to alcohol outlets, alcohol use disorder, underage drinking, as well as alcohol-related economic burden and its health and social consequences.
