Superintelligence, Power and Human Rights
Superintelligence, Power and Human Rights
The world’s leading tech companies have ambitions to develop superintelligence - powerful and advanced AI systems that surpass the intelligence of the most capable humans. If they succeed, this could have far-reaching consequences for individuals and societies, and may intensify geopolitical tensions. In this report, we explore different future scenarios for a 2030 shaped by superintelligence, and assess the implications for human rights depending on who controls the technology: companies, states, global cooperation, or an ecosystem of diverse actors.
