Since 2012, the Rathenau Instituut has asked a large, representative group of Dutch people about every three years how much trust they have in science and various aspects of it. We also ask about trust in various research topics and in other institutions. In this report, we present the results of the questionnaire administered in January 2025. In this report, we show that average trust in science is again high and has even increased slightly compared to the previous measurement. But if you dive deeper into the analyses, as we do in this report, you will see all kinds of interesting connections and shifts, which call for further analysis and debate.
