Road Safety
Martínez, A. & Estrada Galindo, L. (2018). INCyTU Note 25 Road Safety
In Mexico, seven out of every ten deaths due to traffic accidents are to vulnerable users. Road safety should be conceived as an integral system that reduces the risks to pedestrians, cyclists and occupants of vehicles when moving, with the aim of reducing traffic accidents, minimizing injuries and deaths. For this purpose, the creation of adequate and standardized mobility laws and regulations is necessary to improve the monitoring and application of targeted sanctions to strengthen road safety.
